VAT, IOSS, VOEC and WooCommerce

Taxes changed mid-2021 in the European area. As many Angry Creative customers are international ecommerce merchants focused on the EU region, it’s important that we’re able to offer them a solution that allows them to be compliant with the various schemes now in place.

The table below shows the preferred behaviour and solutions available from Angry Creative to cover international European tax schemes including Standard EU VAT, EU IOSS, Norway VOEC scheme, UK VAT policy across various scenarios.

So what is the ‘AC plugin’? It’s a plugin that we have developed that allows configuration and implementation of these tax rules. Whilst we do plan to open source it at some point, right now it still needs developer input to configure correctly and isn’t yet foolproof enough for us to release without taking on a support burden responding to external teams.

For now, the plugin is available only to new or existing Angry Creative customers, either as part of our Qala solution or via sites we takeover.
