What’s better than one redesign? Two of course. A few weeks ago we redesigned and built websites for St. Barnabas House lottery and Chestnut Tree House lottery. These two lotteries help fund local hospices St. Barnabas House (for adults) and Chestnut Tree House (for children).
From a visual point of view, their old sites were out of date. They didn’t accurately reflect all of the amazing work they do. From an editorial point of view, they found the sites difficult to manage. And, their mobile experience wasn’t up to speed which made tracking difficult.
When they came to Pragmatic for the redesign and build, we knew they needed more functionality. The websites needed to drive more traffic as the sign-ups to the lotteries via the old sites were relatively low.
Creation of the new and improved St. Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House lottery
St. Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House operated as two individual sites, making them difficult to manage – our aim was to merge them. To achieve this we created an access panel that they could log into both sites from, creating a multisite. Making their websites more cost efficient to maintain, expand, and use.
As a feature, when signing up to participate in the lottery, we incorporated Direct Debit as a third party for a more refined transaction process. Where before the sign ups would take the user into a different tab, now they can stay on the same page making for a much more integrated system. The key thing here is that it will boost the all important sign ups.
As an additional feature, we placed the highest weekly lottery results on a podium from the first place winner of £1000 to the 3rd place winner of £100.
The redesign of the new St. Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House sites are used with the same template which they have now contributed towards their new branding. We wanted to make sure that we coordinated with their digital marketing assets for any work that they do in the future.
We’re so pleased with the outcome of these two new sites and so happy that were able to work with them on this important project.
