PHP South Coast is a PHP community conference by the sea. This year it is run by the following PHP communities: Brighton, Hampshire, Dorset, South West, Surrey, and Berkshire. We’re pleased to be sponsoring their event in Portsmouth on Saturday 11th June 2016!
The event is held in a 275 seat digital auditorium in Action Stations, a maritime venue in Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard. The conference will be their second event, following the success of their first one in July 2015.
The event boasts 15 PHP-focused talks split across two rooms, finishing with dinner and an evening of board games and laser quest.
We’re proud to be sponsoring PHP South Coast this year, as PHP is the programming script language used to write WordPress code. PHP is open source, just like WordPress, which means it has a community of volunteers around it who help improve and develop the language.
Want to get more involved with the PHP community?
In Brighton there is a regular PHP user group called BrightonPHP who meet up the 3rd Monday of each month at The Student Room Group, International House, Queens Road, Brighton BN1 3XE. It is a good opportunity to meet local PHP enthusiasts and experts over pizza and a beer. The people behind the meetup are also helping organise this year’s PHP South Coast.
