We are so excited about attending WordCamp London this weekend (18th-19th March)! It’ll be our first WordCamp of 2017, and we’ll be taking our WordCamp regulars, as well as some newbies.
Introducing our WordCamp London 2017 speakers
Tom Chute – ‘Tales from the Client side: How to Create and Foster Loving Client Relationships’
When?: Saturday 18th March, 10:50 am
Where?: Track A
What?: As an Account Manager at Angry Creative, Tom has had plenty of experience in creating and fostering relationships with our clients. In his talk, Tom will be exploring the psychology and methods behind a loving client relationship through sharing his experiences of the many client projects he’s been involved with. But remember, it’s not just down to Account Managers to form these relationships! Tom will also be sharing how every member of the team, from development to marketing, can help nurture a positive and long lasting relationship with clients.
Edd Hurst – ‘Migrating Content is like Moving House: How did we end up with all this stuff? And where does it all go now?
When?: Saturday 18th March, 11:50 am
Where?: Track B
What?: Edd has many successful website migration projects under his belt. But in his experience, he’s noticed one common issue – the fact that amongst the shiny new designs and features, content barely gets a second glance. And when the deadline is looming, you have no choice but to grab everything at random so it doesn’t get left behind. During his talk, Edd will be sharing his approach to content migration, including showing you how to keep things on track, how to plan for success, and how to cope with failure.
David Lockie – ‘How to Grow from Freelancer to Agency Owner’
When?: Sunday 19th March, 10:20 am
Where?: Track C
What?: 5 years ago Pragmatic’s founder and director, David Lockie, made his first hire and so Pragmatic was born! Now, we’re an established specialist WordPress agency with over 40 members in the team. However, whilst starting the agency was an accident, growing it to this size with minimum staff turnover was the result of many strategic decisions. David will be sharing his expertise on how and when to make hires, where to find new employees, how to create a company culture, and how you can ensure your employees are on board for the long run.
