This July our Head of Support, James Morrison, will be delivering a talk at WordCamp Brighton on the lessons he’s learnt from using WordPress Multisite.
WordCamps are community-organised conferences that encourage knowledge sharing of the open-source platform, WordPress. WordCamp Brighton will be the first WordCamp held in Brighton. We’re chuffed to have James sharing the experiences he’s learnt over the years working with WordPress Multisite while at Angry Creative!
James’ talk Lessons Learned Using WordPress Multisite will be presented at 11:30 am at WordCamp Brighton on Saturday 23rd July 2016.
We’ve interviewed James on his talk below:
Why have you chosen the topic of WordPress Multisite?
I’m fairly experienced with Multisite, having worked on quite a few sites using it over the years. There seems to be a general misconception that it’s “hard” to use – it’s actually relatively straightforward but like anything, there’s a learning curve.
What will WordCampers learn from your talk?
Hopefully, they’ll be able to avoid the mistakes I’ve made in the past. Being self-taught, I worked out how to not do things a lot more than how to do them. You can find out more about this in my WordPress Expert Interview on our blog.
What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Brighton?
It’ll be my first time speaking at an event, so that’s exciting and nerve-racking at the same time! I’ve been to several WordCamps and nearly always learned something in each talk, so I hope to give some of my knowledge back to the WordPress community.
