We’re very excited to announce that we have not one, but two members of the Angry Creative team attending and speaking at WooConf 2017!
WooConf 2017
WooConf is the annual conference dedicated to the future of eCommerce, brought to you by the wonderful folks at WooCommerce. It’s a 2 day event packed full of talks, workshops, and demos on everything Woo and eCommerce, and is based in a different US state each year. WooConf 2017 is being held in Seattle, WA at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center, on the 19th and 20th October.
There’s an incredible line-up of talks and speakers this year, and we’re honoured and excited to be a part of it.
Meet our WooConf 2017 speakers
David Lockie – Enterprise eCommerce with WooCommerce at the center
When?: Thursday 19th October, 11:30am
Where?: Harbor room
What?: David will be running one of the breakout slots at WooConf, which are 50 minute long sessions that dig deeper into a topic. He will be discussing the different platform options for enterprise eCommerce.
Option 1 is to choose a platform like Adobe or Salesforce, pay your license fees and hope you can drive the platform better than your competitors. Option 2 is to build your own platform by choosing best-of-breed components and services.
David’s talk will run through a case study of how we delivered an Option 2 solution for a B2B eCommerce customer, including: – why WordPress and WooCommerce are a great fit to play the central role in modern digital marketing and eCommerce platforms – infrastructure – software architecture (integrations, components, etc) – user experiences (e.g. personalisation) – data strategy (e.g. single customer view & business intelligence).
Laura Nelson – Weaving CRO and Agile methodologies: A big brand case study
When?: Friday 20th October, 15:40
Where?: International Room
What?: Laura will be giving a brief overview of how we recently used an Agile approach to an enterprise-scale CRO project.
When we think of CRO projects, they’re usually categorised as a unique piece of ongoing work, conducted by a small, select team. This approach is suitable for small-medium scale projects, but what happens when you’re working Agile with an enterprise client? Both CRO and Agile promote perpetual, iterative cycles of development; often short cycles, to keep projects lean and meaningful.
Laura’s talk will explore the shape of each technique, providing insight on the advantages and pitfalls of running a dual process. This talk will include a case study, demonstrating how we weaved CRO and Agile together in a live situation.
We’re really excited to be attending WooConf 2017! If you want to watch all the action but can’t make it to Seattle, you can purchase a live stream ticket which will give you access to all of the talks!
