Kickstarter for WordPress the Card Game reaches goal

We’re happy and proud to say that we’ve already reached the goal of our Kickstarter campaign for WordPress the Card Game. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us so far! The campaign will continue on Kickstarter until the end of the year, so don’t miss out on helping us reach our stretch goals to make the game even better.

Interviews about WordPress the Card Game

Our CEO, Jimmy Rosén, was recently interviewed about WordPress the Card Game in the Doc Pop’s News Drop segment at Torque Magazine. In the interview, Jimmy talks about the idea behind the game, crowdfunding and what we plan to do with the profits.

You can also read an interview with Jimmy in the latest issue of wpse.se. Jimmy talks about how important it is both for us and our customers that we are involved and help influence the development of WordPress and WooCommerce. He talks about the process we had when we selected WordPress profiles for the game and which of these can be expected to be included.

What is WordPress the Card Game?

WordPress the Card Game teaches Open Source values, values we here at Angry Creative obviously subscribe to. Also, who’s who in the WordPress community with an emphasis on the Nordics. Throughout the game, you’ll learn that the key to success is not just building your own business. This is done by completing projects and hiring skilled staff, for example. To succeed in the game, you also need to contribute to the WordPress community in parallel.

Since we also want to contribute to the WordPress community, all money we earn from the project will go to the WordPress Foundation. This is so that, for example, more events can be organized for the community, such as WordCamp Europe 2017, which we participated in earlier this year.
