This year’s Swedish WordCamp was organised in Stockholm, and was a very successful event. Many of us at Angry Creative were also involved in the organisation this year. WordCamp is Sweden’s official meeting place for us who work with WordPress and we, as Sweden’s largest WordPress and WooCommerce web agency, it is obvious that we support the event in every way we can.
The event was held in connection with Internetdagarna. On Sunday, a so-called “Contribution day” was held where everyone helps to improve the WordPress project and a lot of workshops were conducted. On the second day there were many interesting lectures.
Composer language management
We have created a solution to handle language management together with Composer. At the conference, we released the solution as an Open Source project on GitHub so that more people can help with the development.
WordPress the Card Game
This year we presented a project we’ve been working on for almost 2 years – WordPress the Card Game. The card game teaches who’s who in the Nordic WordPress community and teaches healthy values for open source companies. The game is sanctioned by the WordPress Foundation, which means that it is an official game and all profits go to creating added value for everyone in the WordPress community.
On the 1st of December 2017, WordPress the Card Game will be released on Kickstarter, and there is an opportunity to back the project both to get a game, but there is also the opportunity for companies to get in the game for exposure.
