WooCommerce recently published a global “Success Story” showcasing Polestar’s impressive e-commerce growth. We are proud to say that Angry Creative was the partner behind the code. Building a global enterprise platform
Polestar needed more than just an online shop for their “Additionals” range; they required a sophisticated, scalable infrastructure that reflected their premium brand identity across the globe. By developing custom, API-driven features like dynamic menus and product walls we achieved A-grade performance scores while delivering a visually rich, premium interface.
- Global Scalability: We architected a powerful multisite network ready to serve 21 countries, designed to handle the complexities of international commerce. This included managing multiple currencies, languages, and regional catalogs with the stability required by a global brand.

- 232% Surge in B2C Sales: The new platform propelled direct-to-consumer sales to more than triple the previous year’s figures.
- 40% Increase in Total Revenue: The improved performance and scalability drove a significant lift in overall bottom-line revenue.
- B2C Share Doubled: The B2C channel grew from 22% of overall sales in 2024 to 44% in 2025, a 100% increase that proves the strategic value of the new digital flagship.

1. Every big project has a major hurdle. What was the most interesting puzzle you had to solve during the build?
The most interesting puzzle was undoubtedly the complex integration required to elevate their existing site into a true global enterprise solution, ready to serve multiple countries. This required going beyond simple integration, we had to rebuild the foundation. We built a robust, customized layer on top of the standard platform to seamlessly connect their advanced Polestar Additionals ID login and custom ERP solutions with WooCommerce, ensuring the stability and scale required for a major automotive brand.
2. How did Angry Creative team make sure that premium design was translated seamlessly into a functional user experience?
Our strength lies in delivering design solutions with technical precision, ensuring the solution elevates the UX rather than hindering it. We didn’t just meet the design requirements; we secured an A-grade performance score in the initial phase. We are incredibly proud of the scalability and stability we delivered for such a major global brand in a demanding industry. Successfully transforming the site into a customer-focused multisite across various countries was a clear demonstration that WooCommerce is not limited to small businesses. What makes us equally proud is the fantastic spirit of collaboration maintained throughout this long project. Working hand-in-hand with the Polestar team and treating their in-house expertise and passion as an extension of our own created powerful synergies across design, development, and strategy. This close partnership was essential, allowing us to seamlessly turn complex requirements into a functional solution that truly reflects their premium vision. And yes, it feels great to have a satisfied client at the end of the day!
4. Why do you think WooCommerce was the right choice?
Choosing WooCommerce was a clear win because it offers that perfect combination of flexibility and global scalability that a major enterprise client needs, all built right on the familiar and trustworthy foundation of WordPress. Its open-source nature was absolutely crucial it gave us the freedom to perform the deep, custom integration required for their unique ERP systems, something rigid, proprietary platforms struggle to accommodate. We leveraged its out-of-the-box global readiness for multi-language and multi-currency support, while ultimately ensuring Polestar Additionals benefits from a cost-effective and sustainable platform that is truly ready to grow easily with them.
