Fast-growing Ideal of Sweden chooses WooCommerce

Fast-growing Ideal of Sweden chooses WooCommerce for its large-scale investment in international e-commerce. It places high demands on loading times, languages and currency management.

Already next year, Ideal of Sweden, which mainly sells self-designed mobile accessories, will have a turnover of over SEK 100 million according to the plan. Half of this will be sold via their multilingual WooCommerce online store that Angry Creative will develop in the fall.

Joachim Lindström, CEO of Ideal of Sweden, sees WooCommerce as a scalable solution for an international venture.

-“We are focusing on Scandinavia, USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Singapore and South Korea. We place high demands on loading times in all markets, says Joachim Lindström, CEO of Ideal of Sweden.

Ideal of Sweden chose between Magento and WooCommerce, but settled on WooCommerce largely because of Angry Creative.

-“We needed a scalable solution that can add many new markets. Angry Creative’s expertise and the fact that we are located in the same city weighed heavily, says Joachim Lindström.

The idea is that the new online store will be launched in November to be fully prepared for Christmas shopping.
The project with Ideal of Sweden raises the bar for what kind of companies use WooCommerce. Therefore, WooCommerce’s own developers will contribute with guidance.

-“WooCommerce wants to help show the possibilities of WooCommerce,” says Samuel Sapire, product owner at Angry Creative.

Angry Creative is entering into an international collaboration with other advanced WordPress agencies certified by WooCommerce to jointly solve problems that arise for Enterprise customers who want to invest in WooCommerce. This means that in the future, more and more e-commerce stores will be able to choose WooCommerce and benefit from the huge community that WordPress and WooCommerce have.

Ideal of Sweden is inspired by the Swedish Daniel Wellington, which is approaching 2 billion in sales this year for its self-designed watches.

-“Daniel Wellington shows the potential for rapid growth and the market for mobile accessories will be worth 120 billion dollars in four years,” says Joachim Lindström.
