Migrating a website to us
To fully take over a website, we need to migrate it to Angry Creative’s hosting. This process, which involves moving the website and its related services from one infrastructure to another, is what we refer to as “migration”.
How does migration fit in?
The first step in a takeover

The next step is standardisation
The audit generates a list of actions required to standardise your site before migrating to Angry Creative’s hosting and management services.

Basis: Code review
In this part of the review, we check the code quality and the technical health of the site. We look for critical issues that need to be addressed, such as security risks or complex problems we see with the site. We also look at visual comparisons between the current hosting and our hosting (Synotio) to ensure that the website does not look different in the different operating environments.
Possible addition: Design & Conversion Audit
We review your website’s user experience from flows and structure to color choices and design. In this part of the audit, you will receive concrete suggestions for actions that will improve the above mentioned areas to increase your conversion rate.

Possible addition: SEO audit
An SEO audit means that we review your content strategy, how your website ranks in the search engines and develop the possibility of creating a digital strategy as a whole. We also look at how we can technically improve search engine optimization in the platform and with microformats/structured data etc.
What do we need to conduct an audit?
A must
- Access to your web host’s control panel and administrator access to WP Admin. If that’s not possible, a full, up-to-date backup of your current site.
- Regular, ongoing backups must be in place
- Signed contract or other agreement
Good to have
- A testing plan that we can both use to ensure we fully understand the site’s functionality and user journeys
- Access to your version control system (e.g. Github or Bitbucket)
- Access to your site’s documentation – specifically a technical architecture diagram and any developer documentation
- An SEO review – an overview of your site’s SEO history
- A list of known issues or priorities moving forward
Questions to ask
- Is there any sensitive functionality on the site?
- Are there any active integrations such as payment solutions and CRM?
