Their merchandise store, “Additionals,” extends this philosophy, merging the brand’s sustainability goals with high-quality design. When Polestar approached us, they were looking for a partner to help realise their global e-commerce ambitions.

A WooCommerce store in need of stability
Polestar came to us with an existing WooCommerce site that needed improvements in areas like performance and database structure.
After managing the site in its current form, we agreed that a rebuild would be the most effective way to meet their long-term goals.

Laying the foundation for global e-commerce
We started with a full audit to identify immediate issues. In the first phase, we focused on performance improvements, which quickly resulted in an A-grade performance score. With this short-term success in place, Polestar was ready to shift focus toward scaling the site globally and refining the front end to reflect their premium brand.
Our task was to build a WooCommerce store that was not only functional, but scalable, visually strong and customer centred—ready to serve 21 countries. This included custom features like API-driven menus, product walls, and tailored category pages to improve the user experience. A highlight was the custom-designed product page that captured Polestar’s distinctive design language.

A unified and scalable e-commerce experience
In close collaboration with Prominate and Wackes, we developed a design that aligned with Polestar’s vision. From rebuilding the main site’s mega menu to seamless WooCommerce integration, we made sure the merchandise store felt like a natural part of the Polestar brand.
Beyond visual consistency, we also streamlined business flows, migrated inventory and improved the voucher system—transforming the site into a customer-focused multisite across 21 countries, with enhanced scalability and performance.
Our solutions not only met Polestar’s current needs, but also laid the foundation for continued growth rooted in sustainability and innovation.
