The payment exchange PayIQ has launched a connection to WooCommerce that makes it easy to implement their payment solution in WooCommerce stores.
PayIQ offers both card payments and direct payments via online banking to their e-merchants who install the plugin that we at Angry Creative have built. PayIQ has a payment model with no start-up fee or monthly fees.
-We charge one krona per completed transaction plus one percent on the order value. We are like Norwegian. We have modern machines that run on time, but we don’t offer a luxurious lounge like SAS,” says Bo Hammarström, CEO of PayIQ.
The PayIQ brand is new, but the company has its origins in other companies such as My Pay and later Wiredge. With new investors and a new board, PayIQ will try to find its niche in a highly competitive payment market. PayIQ is well aware of the competitive situation with several established Swedish players such as DIBS and Klarna as well as new foreign players such as AfterPay, Stripe and Adyen trying to establish themselves in Sweden.
-“We believe that we can attract open source e-merchants who do not want to incur too many fixed costs,” says Bo Hammarström.
Since checkout takes place on PayIQ’s PCI-certified servers, no SSL certificate is required for the online store – although encryption is always recommended for all online stores.
PayIQ also offers recurring payments for subscriptions. And another benefit is that the merchant can brand the payment page itself with their own brand. PayIQ also has plans to develop support for the popular Swish payment method.
