Best April Fools’ jokes 2011

The first of April doesn’t usually pass without at least a joke. And not this year either.

This year it was mainly these jokes that made me giggle a little in front of my desk; Google’s joke, IDG’s joke and Prisjakt.se‘s joke.

Google’s April Fool’s joke #1

Google was pretty funny. When you searched for “helvetica” (the famous font), all content was presented in Comic Sans – considered by many to be the ugliest font there is.

Google’s April Fool’s joke #2

I firmly believe that Google employees have way too much free time. Their second April Fool’s joke was Google Motion – a way to read and reply to emails by reading gestures. Very well done and funny!

Prisjakt.se’s April Fool’s joke

Prisjakt.se ran a neat trick – if you searched for the lowest price on PC games, The Pirate Bay was shown as the cheapest option.
