Face-to-face meetings at Wordcamp Europe are back!
When will we be there?
The last time WordCamp Europe was held in person (Berlin, 2019) it was the biggest WordCamp ever! In 2022, WordCamp Europe will take place in Porto, Portugal with the conference scheduled for 2-4 June. Angry Creative will be there – exciting stuff!
Here’s everything you need to know right now. We’ll be there for the whole conference, including the grant day, and we’ll be kicking off a day early for a special Angry Creative pre-conference event as it’s a great chance for us all to get together.
Why are we going?
All the usual reasons – training, meeting our industry peers, meeting potential team members and clients, socialising as a team and sharing all the work we’ve done.
But certainly we have some new reasons (or at least some re-emphasised ones!). It will be a time to re-establish old ties that Covid has stretched and a chance to meet as a remote company for the first time. Finally, some time to enjoy a break from routine. WordCamps are a big part of the global WP community and it’s been too long since we felt the amazing power of being surrounded by a community of like-minded people.
Who’s going?
The entire Angry Creative team has been offered the chance to participate fully. We’re still finalising how many of our amazing colleagues are going, but expect Team Angry to be there in force!
What will we do while we’re there?
Firstly, we’ll be holding our own Angry Creative event, where we’ll be meeting many of our team in person for the first time. Our team will be travelling from across Europe and Africa to attend. To secure a place, join our team!
We’ll be attending throughout the conference so you’ll see us wandering around, networking and meeting people in the community, learning and hearing about the future of WordPress, attending workshops, meeting with vendors and WordPress companies to learn about new products and services.
The whole Angry team will be looking for future team members and our People Ops team is happy to meet people who want to know more. We’re starting to organise some meetings and side events with clients and potential clients too, so if you’re going to be there and are looking for a great WordPress and WooCommerce partner then let us know!
Several people from Angry have applied to speak, so if we’re lucky you might even see us up on stage or running workshops.
We’ve now confirmed that Angry will also be an event sponsor! So we’ll have a (modest) stand where you’ll always be able to find either someone from the Angry team or information on how to get hold of us for a chat.
Of course, we’ll be at the official party and present at several of the social activities and events that are planned.
How can you meet us?
If you want to know more about working at or with Angry Creative, we’d love to meet you. The best way is to get in touch, let us know what you have in mind so we can plan something. We are completely remote and are currently looking for people to join our team.
Otherwise, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet the team at our stand, at the main and side events or by checking us out on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn and organising something last minute.
Fun facts: Last WordCamp EU, the current Angry team consisted of two separate companies! Since then, a lot has happened, Pragmatic has merged with Angry Creative and we’re now one of Europe’s largest WordPress and WooCommerce agencies.
